Not much is known about Elena's background. She had a sister, (Katherine; deceased) who was a Turk before her. Her father (also deceased) was a professor for ShinRa Military Academy. Little to nothing is known about her mother, except what she cares to mention during fleeting moments.

Originally one of the few Turks and members of ShinRa left after Meteor nearly destroyed the Planet, Elena remained loyal to Rufus and the Turks up until after the events of Advent Children. After that, she sought to establish her own life away from the backlash of ShinRa. Not that she doesn't enjoy her job; she is still a Turk. But because she lived her life through ShinRa there's a lot of things she never experienced, so she moved to Arcadia with the hopes of becoming her own person, and establishing her own foundation.

W O M A N

Elena is the entire scope of human emotion. She comes off as random and witless to those who don't know her. She talks too much, out of turn and at inappropriate moments. Whatever she's thinking usually just flies out - with or without meaning to. She has a mouth like a toilet, a side effect from working with predominately males for most of her life. Her occupation has taken its toll on her as well; she's severely emotionally scarred and can seem very unstable at odd moments. And then there's the other half of her, that is ridiculously silly, that enjoys laughing and making people happy. She can be rather sweet and caring, though she chooses to hide it underneath a very cold, if not bitchy exterior. She's terribly defensive, and overly paranoid, and even people she likes she keeps at arm's length. But she has a big heart, though rare is the occassion that she'll actually own up to, if not give in to it.

Elena lives in a three story building in Sidhe with Celes. She gets her electricity, cable and internet quite illegally, and can occassionally be found at a tea shop, cafe or singing.
